Choosing the right cutting technique & tool

Flexible substrates respond to light, deliberate pressure. Too much force marks the liner. Too little interrupts the cut.

Vinyl and films follow kiss‑cuts with precision, guided by the S Series or F Series depending on workflow.

Banners benefit from controlled depth on woven structures.

Textiles cut cleanly when guided by a rotary motion or sealed instantly with laser.
Regardless of the material, the machine manages tension so the roll remains aligned.

Flexible Materials

PVC Banner
Used for outdoor banners, hanging signs and large format prints. The weave affects how the blade enters and exits the surface. Runs well on the F Series. Use Fast+ or Core+ with a high precision cutout tool, rigid material cutout tool or rotary knife, depending on banner structure.
Vinyl
Used for decals, labels, stickers and contour cut graphics. Requires precise kiss cutting that respects the liner. The S Series, S3 or F Series handle it effortlessly. Use Fast+ / Core+ with the kiss cut tool or high precision cutout tool.
Decal Vinyl
Ideal for detailed stickers, branding and decorative elements. Behaves like standard vinyl but often carries higher tack. Runs cleanly on the V Series or F Series. Use Fast+ / Core+ with a kiss cut or high precision cutout tool.
Textile
Used for soft signage, sportswear and interior fabrics. Edges must stay clean without fraying. Runs best on the L Series for sealed laser edges, or on an F Series with rotary motion when the textile has PVC components. Use the Rotary Knife Module on F, or the laser on L Series depending on material composition.
